The retail explorer was born from the idea of taking a portfolio of brands and developing into a programme that reduces costs, and makes business development more affordable.
Our aim is to enter into conversations with buyers to get samples reviewed and enter ranging reviews with the ultimate goal of getting a listing.
We will target the whole market including 'Top 4', Independents, Convenience, Discounters or just a specific sector you require help with.

With this package we focus on the Account Management of retailers won.
This involves attending all meetings associated with activating a launch including the Retailer Head Office.
We also focus on all of the administration involved, including setting up new lines, data reports (both internally and externally) and supply chain communications.
We assist in promotional planning & executions, including recommendations. As new accounts come on board, we are able to add this into the Manager package at any time.
VISIONARY GAP ANALYSIS
Our approach when analysing the market is to understand who to target and the areas to focus on, taking our direction from market data to produce impartial findings.
We focus on desk research and capture all relevant data as well as visiting stores where possible to get a feel for the brands out there, their packaging options and shelf space within the retailer.

From this data collection, we compile a summary of brands that currently fill the shelf space where your products would sit.

Service, Retail & Manufacturing. We have worked with over 100 brands in the last 4 years, from Pre-Revenue
Start Up all the way up to Multi-Million-pound Businesses, securing listings and managing the growth.
We will need you to provide all of the initial information on the brand, product and logistical elements. We will then collectively build and sign off a retail strategy. From then, we will integrate you into our CRM tool where we can update you on what meetings are happening, what samples we need and what feedback is coming in.
We will work with brands who compete in the same category, but have clear differential, for example, we
would work with a plain bottled water and a canned seltzer, but not 2 plain bottled water brands.
All retailers work in different ranging windows, some can take weeks and some can take years. It all depends on the size of the retailer and when they are looking to review their category (based on when they last looked at their category). Most retailers will be looking at a 6 month listing timeframe.
We would give our opinions on a brand, or product, before we started work with a brand to ensure there was a
good fit for both parties. We would usually get a good indication within 3 months of how the market is
receiving a product or brand. At this point, we would assess what the best next steps would be, given the
feedback (cost, branding, product improvement etc).
When you achieve a listing, we will be able to advise of the things that will need to be put in place in order to
have a successful launch. The account then will need to be managed for areas such as, dealing with orders,
dialogue with the buyers and promotional planning. At Visionary, we do offer this service which can be added
on or moved into fully, should you wish.
